Read the passage carefully. Then choose the correct answer.

Sophie was not comfortable leaving ten-gear-old Patrick with her neighbors while she had to rush to the hospital to check on one of her patients. However, she was left with no other choice. The Director would never allow children anywhere near the wards and Patrick had to be in bed early for his mathematics test tomorrow.

Sophie packed his dinner into a box -- two slices of tuna sandwich with an apple and a whole box of his favorite cereal for supper. She took his comics and dumped them on top of his pyjamas and went into the hall to get him.

Patrick was watching a show on television and only responded on her third call. "Now, Patrick! I got to go!" she gelled. Sophie double checked that all appliances were switched off, swung the duffel bag over to Patrick and walked over to their neighbor's home.

Mrs Singh opened the door all decked up in one of her shimmering saris and gold jewelry. She looked at Sophie, all smiles but puzzled by her arrival. "Wow!" commented Patrick.

"Thank you, mg dear," replied Mrs Singh and delved into details. The family was on their wag out to attend her niece's wedding. Sophie quickly praised her pretty clothes and left in a hurry without explaining the reason for dropping by.

Returning home, she sat down on one of her garden stools and plopped the duffel bag together with her own medical suitcase on the grass. "Mom, say you are feeling a little under the weather. Problem solved," suggested Patrick and left to continue with his show. Sophie picked up her mobile phone and dialed for the hospital. She took a deep breath and coughed.
