The picture in the art shop showed a pretty lady. It was Tina's favorite. She would stand in front of the shop, just staring at the lady. he imagined that the lady was her mother. It made the pain at not knowing how her mother looked like disappear for a while.

She was an orphan. he orphanage had always been her home. The other orphans who had relatives would go home for the holidays but she would stay at the orphanage. Mr and Mrs Chan, the caretakers there, felt sorry for her because she had no one. They would try their best to cheer her up by bringing her out and giving her special treats.

Tina knew that Mr and Mrs Chan loved her very much but they were not her parents. "If only I had a picture of my mother," she thought to herself.

One day while she was standing outside the art shop, the owner invited her in. She headed straight for the picture. He offered to give it to Tina and she accepted it. She went home and eagerly showed it to Mrs Chan. When Mrs Chan saw the picture, she hugged Tina tightly. Tina was puzzled. Mrs Chan then told her that it was a picture of her mother.
