The Power of Friendship

The sky appears vast because of the existence of the earth; The sea appears broad because of the existence of water; I feel happy because of my optimistic perspective on things.

Happiness and pain are choices that we make. The heavens don't bestow happiness or pain upon us, they only offer us opportunities for happiness. We can choose to look at things from a happy angle, or we can choose to view them from a painful angle. As Francis Bacon said: "If you tell a friend about your happiness, you'll get two happinesses, but if you tell a friend about your sorrow, you'll only get half the sorrow."

Some may ask, what is a friend?
I say: a friend is like the sun shining through the clouds after the rain, offering hope and brightness. A friend is like a beacon on the vast sea, guiding you to the shore of success. A friend is like an angel in heaven, bringing joy and happiness.

There have been times when I have shared my sorrows with the falling petals of flowers, my dreams with the autumn mountains, and my yearnings with the vast earth and tall mountains. In the face of repeated failures, such as failing an exam, being scolded by parents, or losing loved ones, I felt like I had fallen into a deep valley. Disappointment surrounded me, and life seemed as bumpy as some philosophers have said. The waves of life often crash against our progress, and the terrifying setbacks often shatter our efforts. However, I did not fall. When I looked at things from a different angle, I realized that I had deep friendships around me. I couldn't let myself slip away. When I was at my most difficult moments, my friends built a protective wall around me. I couldn't entertain thoughts of suicide. If I'm not here, the world will lose one more happy person. Friendship is the most precious thing in the world, and we can't ask for too much, or else we'll lose even more.

When you're complaining, you can choose to look at things from a different perspective. Your friends are feeling sorrow for you.

When you're missing your loved ones, you can choose to look at things from a different angle. Your friends are supporting you from behind.

When you're happy, you can choose to look at things from a different angle. Your friends are even happier than you.

The journey of life is long and winding, and the future may seem uncertain. When friends are there with you through the confusion and uncertainty, cherish them. Look at things from a different angle and you'll find that you've gained priceless happiness!
