Once, I envied those wealthy millionaires who had abundant
wealth, drove luxurious cars, and lived in mansions. I fantasized about becoming
as wealthy as them one day, enjoying leisurely activities like hiking, playing
golf, and living a comfortable life. But now I realize that was a form of
ignorance. When I look at myself, I discover that I am the true millionaire.
I have a warm home, with my mom, dad, and me. Home is a harbor of love where all
worries vanish when I return. I have my father's affection, my mother's care,
and my own playful antics. Though our home may be small, it is always filled
with laughter and happiness. Compared to those millionaires, this cozy and
fulfilling family life is beyond reach for them.
I have the opportunity to study. As the ancients said, "In books, there are
houses made of gold, and beauty like jade." On sunny afternoons, I enjoy sipping
a cup of hot fragrant tea while delving into a book I love, finding joy in it.
Sometimes I chat with Mr. Wu Liu about his aspirations in life, discuss ancient
Greek civilization with Socrates, or engage in conversations about the true
meaning of life with Mr. Lu Xun and Mr. Guo Moruo. This brings much more
happiness than what the wealthy experience, as I find the pleasures of life
within books.
I have a heart that loves music. Beethoven once said, "Music is the soul of
humanity." Some people love music, love listening to it and singing along; some
understand music, being able to sing and compose. As for me, when I feel
restless, I enjoy listening to elegant music to relax and unwind; when I'm in a
joyful mood, I listen to my favorite tunes, further elevating my spirits.
Sometimes, I even write songs to enrich my life. Compared to those wealthy
individuals, this brings me much more happiness.
I also have many friends, kindred spirits. Since I was young, I have made
numerous companions. We enjoy chatting, playing games, and sharing our thoughts,
always making ourselves feel at ease. When I'm away from home and encounter
troubles, I can confide in them, and when there are joyful moments, we share
them together. Unlike those millionaires, who often find themselves alone.
I have everything I possess, making me wealthier than anyone else. But a
millionaire, apart from money, has nothing. They lack the warmth of a home, true
friends, whereas I have them. I want the whole world to know: "I am also a
millionaire!" |
