Jessica was a handful to handle at times.
her grandmother gave up taking care of her after only two months. She had a
string of nannies who walked out on their jobs too. Then, she had a new nanny,
Miss Gills, coming for her first day. Every time Jessica wanted something, she
would scream or shout to get it. When Miss Gills told Jessica that she could not
have what she wanted, Jessica stomped her feet and screamed even louder. Miss
gills decided to teach Jessica a lesson. every time Jessica threw a tantrum,
Miss Gills would simply pay no attention to her. she would only talk to Jessica
when Jessica had clamed down and behaved herself. At first, Jessica screamed a
loud as she could to get attention. Then, she began to realise that her
screaming was no use. She quietened down.
After a week, Jessica did not stop her feet anymore. After two weeks, she
stopped screaming for the things she wanted. Soon, she was a delightful girl who
was as polite as she could be. She found that she could get more things that
way. |
