Everyday we see the breadman coming faithfully on his
scooter to deliver bread to our homes. He is regular and
sends, fresh from the bakery, loaves of bread, cakes, biscuits and buns to
all those who have placed orders for these items.
He has loaves of bread hanging in plastic bags on either side of his
scooter, along with other items wrapped up in packets too.
Sometimes, dogs chase him and bark at him, but he just carries on with
his delivery and they soon leave him alone as they get used to his
appearance each day. Occasionally, he throws a bun or a biscuit to the dog
and this helps to keep it quiet.
Thunder storms drive most people indoors, yet the breadman
braves the bad weather and calls
regularly. He wears a raincoat to protect himself from the rain and, on hot
days, his helmet shades him from the burning sun. He is helpful and reliable
and does his bit for the community. We
do appreciate his services. |
