The world backward-donkey racing championship was
won by a donkey from the Biscay region in Spain. A few thousand spectators
assembled to view the race which
was
established by the Mayor of Biscay village in 1987.
This year, many countries like the United States and
France
participated in the race. There were
altogether thirteen
donkeys in the race. Each donkey had an assistant to
make sure
that the donkey moved in the
correct direction.
The champion of the race won a
trophy and $13,000 in
prize-money. |
