"I will never forgive her," Anne muttered as she walked away from the class. Panting and running after her, Lilian came up to her and apologised profusely for accidentally spilling chocolate milk all over Anne's new bag. Anne refused to listen to Lilian. She cupped her hands over her ears, glared at Lilian and screamed.

"I'll never talk to you again !" Then she ran away.

Anne was still angry when she reached home. She banged the door hard behind/after her and woke Granny from her afternoon nap/sleep. She was rude to Mother when Mother asked her what she wanted for dinner. She pinched little Tony when she found that he had messed up her room again. Tony ran howling to Mother. His poor arm was red from Anne's pinching.

"What's the matter with you today, Anne ?" Mother came into the room and asked. "You've made everybody upset since you stepped into the house. Did something happen in school ?"
