"Last call for Flight SQ 128," came the announcement. Kenneth clutched his passport and strode to the departure counter. The immigration officer stamped his passport with an air of quiet efficiency.

In no time, Kenneth was heading towards the doorway that led to the airplane. He was filled with excitement. He had waited a long time for this holiday to England where he would spend four glorious weeks visiting his aunt. Kenneth was also looking forward to his flight. He has never been on an airplane before.

After depositing his luggage on the shelves above his seat, Kenneth sat down. He was pleased to note that he was able to get a window seat. Now he would get a good view of the clouds when the plane takes off. Next to him sat a pleasant-looking lady who nodded at him amiably. Kenneth gave her a broad smile and looked out of the window. From the window, he could see tiny black dots.

"Look! The plane is so high that the people down there look like ants," he exclaimed in wonder.

"They are ants," his companion said with a laugh. "The plane hasn't even taken off yet !"
