Discipline is key to success |
|
Discipline is the cornerstone of success. In this rapidly changing and
developing world of the new millennium, dynamic, civilized, and innovative
societies are needed to achieve success and enable the citizens of this country
to be on equal footing with giant nations like Japan, the United States, and
France. Holistically, discipline is the driving force behind creating a
progressive and skilled community that is capable of facing any challenges in
navigating the increasingly challenging world of change.
Discipline fosters students with a strong desire to learn. This is because
discipline is the foundation of success. For example, a student who wants to be
successful must be diligent in reviewing their lessons, waking up early for
school, completing all assigned school work, and following school rules. Without
discipline, it would be impossible for a student to do these things.
Furthermore, negative mindsets among students must be eradicated in order to
embrace the lure of success. For instance, Nik Nur Madihah, who was a
top-performing student in the 2008 Malaysian Certificate of Education, earned 20
As in her public exams. Despite poverty that weighed on her life, she was
diligent, persistent, and most importantly, disciplined and positive-minded,
inspiring herself to achieve success, just like the famous figure Cecil B.
DeMille who said that a successful person is one who sees their goal clearly and
persistently works towards it without deviation. Clearly, discipline is the most
effective formula for the citizens of this country to attain glory in life.
Additionally, parents also require a high level of discipline to create a
harmonious family. Parents have a heavy responsibility in the family
institution. They play a crucial role in educating their children to be useful
citizens as newborns are like a blank canvas, and it is up to the parents to
color and shape their personality. It is discipline that is applied within the
parents that shapes their children to become illustrious. Moreover, parents must
also strive to be good role models as their behavior will be emulated by their
children, as the saying goes, how the mold is cast, so will the dough be shaped.
Furthermore, parents not only need to educate their children, but also provide
for their needs and raise them. They also need self-discipline to create a happy
family and raise children who embody positive qualities and avoid negative
elements. |
