On a lovely day during the fruit season, I went to my cousin's
durian farm, not too far from the busy town. I rode my bike from my house in the
morning, and after a while, I reached his simple wooden home in the middle of
the big orchard.
The orchard was about five acres and was full of durian trees, which had lots of
spiky durians on them. I was amazed by the view when suddenly I heard a loud
sound in the distance. My cousin told me it was just a durian falling from a
tree. I felt better and went with him to see where it fell. I found it in the
bushes and happily carried it back to the house.
Inside, I got a nice surprise – there were many other durians all gathered at
the back of the house. My cousin was saving them for someone who wanted to buy
them. He opened a couple and showed me the yummy fruit inside, and I got to
taste it too.
The morning was great, even though the mosquitoes were bothering me a bit. When
it was the hottest time of the day, I said goodbye to my cousin and thanked him
for the awesome time. I rode my bike back home feeling happy and content. |
