Beauty: Beyond Looks and Places |
|
Beauty is often associated with glamorous models, picturesque tourist spots, and
exquisitely crafted items. However, beauty is much more than just what meets the
eye. To me, beauty lies in people with beautiful personalities. A lady whom I
know is considered beautiful not because of her delicate features, but because
of her kind and caring heart. She is always ready to give of herself to those
around her, making her one of the most beautiful people I have ever known.
Similarly, my friend Sally may not be conventionally beautiful, but her warm and
bubbly nature and wonderful sense of humor make her attractive to everyone
around her.
For me, places that are beautiful are not necessarily captured on postcards. I
find beauty in places with a sense of serenity and charm. I enjoyed the
countryside of Europe because of its old-world charm and the sense of history
that one feels while walking along cobblestone paths. This experience was not
only awe-inspiring but also tranquil, giving me a sense of peace that I seldom
find in Malaysia.
In conclusion, beauty is not limited to looks or places. It is a state of mind
that allows us to see the world in a grain of sand, as William Blake once said.
Appreciating beauty beyond superficial appearances and embracing the beauty in
people's hearts and the charm of places is the key to finding true beauty in
life. |
