My Aspiration to Become a Dedicated Doctor |
|
Being a doctor is a noble profession, where the responsibility to heal and
save lives lies in their hands. From small clinics to major surgeries,
doctors are always focused and attentive, knowing that a small mistake could
lead to catastrophic consequences. I am always impressed and inspired when I
hear about doctors saving critically ill patients. It fills me with a sense
of admiration and a determination to become a doctor myself, one with the
spirit of Norman Bethune, to heal and save.
In the midst of the SARS and COVID-19 epidemics, medical professionals have
had to wear thick masks and heavy isolation suits, putting themselves at
risk of infection, even as they face the lack of understanding from their
families. The difficulties they face are unimaginable. During the 5.12
Wenchuan earthquake, the nation's hearts went out to the affected people,
and many contributed their efforts to assist in the relief work. The noble
mission of healing and saving lives means that medical professionals have to
be more resolute than most, racing against time to save lives, and working
together as a team.
During the earthquake, some doctors risked their own lives to save those in
need, rescuing them from their suffering. I aspire to be like them, a
dedicated doctor whose only goal is to bring happiness and well-being to
others.
I want to become a good doctor, one who is responsible and committed to
their work, a trustworthy "angel in white." I want to treat strangers on the
operating table as though they were my own family, guiding them towards a
full recovery and bringing the light of "angels" to shine upon the earth. |
