Since 7th September 2006, CIMB Group has transformed into a universal banking group following the
merger of Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad (CIMB), Bumiputra Commerce Bank (BCB)
and Southern Bank (SBB). The merged group is poised to offer the best of CIMB, BCB and SBB to our
new universe of customers.
In line with this new beginning we have re-named all operating companies and introduced a new brand
architecture for the entire group.
