Whilst we as a company have been prudent and focused in our financial management, the insurance industry over the last few years has faced a difficult and challenging economic environment. At ING we consider your financial security and future well-being to be of paramount importance, and as such, will continue to declare year after year bonus and dividend payments. Reversionary bonus and dividend payments, once declared, are guaranteed and will enhance your policy values in meeting your personal financial obligations. Naturally, since future bonus's and dividends have yet to be declared, they are dependent on the future operating results and investment returns of the participating fund. As such, we wish to take this opportunity to remind you of their non-guaranteed nature, and that the future amount declared may be more or less than that originally illustrated.
