A Careless Act with Consequences |

The Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival was a highly anticipated event among children,
who gathered at the park to show off their pretty lanterns. Paul and Darren, two
boys who were eager to play with fire, lined up candles along the grassy path,
unaware of the chaos they would cause. Once the candles were lit, the boys
joined in the festivities with the other children, neglecting the few candles
that were still burning.
It was only when a child accidentally kicked over a few candles that the fire
started to spread. The flames quickly grew out of control as discarded
newspapers added fuel to the fire. The adults and children panicked as they
struggled to put out the blaze, but thankfully, the fire was extinguished before
it could cause any major damage.
Paul and Darren soon realized the consequences of their actions and ran away in
fear of the adults' reproach. Their careless act had left a nightmarish mess for
the Town Council cleaners to clear the next day. However, the incident taught
the boys a valuable lesson, and they never repeated their mistake again.
In the end, the Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival ended with a close call. It served
as a reminder to everyone that even the smallest act of carelessness can have
significant consequences. |
