Arson at the School |
|
It was a quiet night in the neighborhood, with most people already in bed, when
a group of six boys snuck into the back gate of the local school. They carried
with them a can of kerosene and boxes of matchsticks in their pockets, and if
anyone had seen them, they would have noticed their suspicious behavior.
The leader of the group asked if they were ready and they responded with nods
and pats on their pockets. He sneered and spat out, "This is what you get for
expelling me!" before signaling for them to pour the kerosene on the gate and
set it on fire.
As the flames grew, the boys watched with satisfaction, and then quickly fled
into the darkness. Little did they know that a cleaner had witnessed their
criminal act.
The fire soon spread and engulfed the school, shattering the serenity of the
neighborhood with shouts of "Fire! The school is on fire!" Residents watched
helplessly from their windows as black columns of smoke rose into the air and
the fire brigade raced to the scene.
Despite their efforts, the fire burned a big part of the school, just as the
boys had intended. When the boys were caught, they would undoubtedly face severe
consequences for their reckless behavior. |
