Anna had spent the last ten years in prison, but it had become her home. As she
looked outside, she knew that no one would greet her release. Her mother had
died, unable to bear the thought of her daughter's imprisonment. Anna had been
betrayed by the man she loved, who had used her to embezzle money from her
company. When caught, he had disappeared, leaving Anna to take the fall. But she
was now free and ready to start anew. One day, a man visited her apartment
claiming to be her half-brother from Indonesia. He showed her photographs of
their father and explained that their father had married his mother without
Anna's knowledge. Anna was hesitant to believe him, but she found herself
trusting him. He offered her a partnership in his business and a chance to start
a new life.
Anna was overcome with emotion and tears streamed down her face. Her
half-brother Arthur hugged her and she smiled for the first time in a long
while. With her new family and a fresh start, Anna felt hopeful for the first
time in years. |
