There was a green seed striving upwards, knowing that its mother awaited it in
the world above the ground. However, faced with the tender love of earthworms
and the nibbling of insects, its resolve wavered. Similarly, we often find
ourselves like this seed, ready to give up when encountering setbacks.
A month ago, in preparation for the physical exam at school, we began our
daily "devilish training" in the mornings. At first, it was uncomfortable,
leaving us sore all over from the exercise. But we were excited and encouraged
ourselves to persist.
As time passed, the initial excitement faded, and we questioned the purpose
of running. We couldn't find the meaning to keep going. Then, a thought struck
me: "Would all my efforts have been in vain? What about the physical exam?
Should I give up?" No, I decided to persevere! I couldn't let my hard work go to
waste. So, during a test, I ran in 3 minutes and 43 seconds, one second faster
than before. My perseverance was paying off!
Some time later, we returned to the field for another test. This time, I ran
in 3 minutes and 40 seconds, improving by three seconds. I had to keep going!
On Friday, we had a qualifying sports event where another test took place.
Surprisingly, I ran in 3 minutes and 18 seconds, a perfect score! When I saw the
result, excitement filled me, and I thought, "This month of perseverance was not
in vain. Indeed, when you sow, you will reap!" Yet, it was just a small test; I
hoped to achieve even better results in the actual physical exam. I would
persist!
Finally, this seed overcame its internal struggles, diligently absorbed
nutrients, and broke through the soil, blossoming into a delicate flower! |
