"Nothing is difficult in this world if you have the determination." Many
seemingly challenging tasks, when approached with courage and relentless
effort, can be overcome. As you persist and put in the work, you'll
eventually realize that what seemed like insurmountable obstacles were
merely temporary hurdles. Perseverance is the unwavering rule of success.
Charles Dickens, the renowned British writer, owed his success to his keen
observation and experience of life. Regardless of weather conditions, he
ventured to the streets daily, listening to and noting down people's
conversations, accumulating a wealth of life's material. This dedication
allowed him to craft brilliant character dialogues in "David Copperfield"
and vivid societal backgrounds in "A Tale of Two Cities," establishing
himself as a literary giant and achieving great success in his literary
career.
Pu Songling, despite failing the imperial examinations four times,
refused to be disheartened. He set out to complete a "book of indignation,"
inscribing a couplet as a reminder to himself: "Those with determination
will succeed in their endeavors, breaking their cauldrons and sinking their
boats, the Qin gates yielding to the Chu; those with arduous efforts, heaven
will not forsake, lying on a bed of firewood and tasting gall, the three
thousand armored soldiers of Yue can swallow the state of Wu." With
unwavering determination, he eventually completed the magnificent work
"Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio."
Never give up, hold onto hope. Each individual has their path to tread,
and whether it leads to goodness or challenges, it is their own journey. The
path lies right beneath our feet, and by facing things with a positive
attitude, even if the rewards aren't immediate, someday unexpected outcomes
will result from your actions, and that will be attributed to "good luck."
Your future is mostly shaped by what you do now. Time is equitable for
everyone; it's about how you utilize it. Some people make the most of their
limited time and live on eternally, while others become slaves to time,
being pushed along by it. Every successful person is diligent and
hardworking, and every diligent and hardworking person is skilled at seizing
time, never easily giving up.
Life is a bustling street that does not allow for retracing steps. Many
people may start the journey with you, but along the way, they will turn and
take different paths. As you progress, fewer people will remain, and it's
not because they are exceptionally outstanding; it's because they did what
needed to be done, persevered, and stood the test of time. This phenomenon
is often referred to as "good luck."
Fate is the excuse of the weak, while luck is the modesty of the strong.
Those who persist and work hard should refrain from complaining about unfair
fate. Time will prove the worth of all the sweat and effort you have put in. |
