Beauty in the Simple and Kind Acts of Life |
|
In fact, everything around us is beautiful, easily within reach. But is your
heart beautiful? If you embrace the world with sincerity and live happily,
you will discover that everything is beautiful, and beauty is actually right
beside you...
However, don't think that beauty is only about dressing up and looking
glamorous. Offering a seat to an elderly person on a bus, showing some love
to children in disaster-stricken areas, helping an elderly lady clean up the
trash on the street — all these create a beautiful scenery.
We love the sky because it is a nurturing embrace for birds. We love rivers
because they provide a warm home for fish. We love big trees because they
offer refreshing shade. Helping others is also a form of beauty.
We admire the dazzling stars because they are beautiful. Yet, we can only
look up and gaze at them from afar, ignoring the things around us that are
equally beautiful, just like the starlight. We focus only on appearances and
forget to look at the heart. Suddenly, we realize that what we truly desire
is a beautiful soul, not a superficially attractive face.
Sitting by the window, letting the cool breeze brush against our faces, and
quietly gazing at the scenery outside — we do this because we feel a sense
of beauty. We do it to make our hearts a little lighter. Beauty is simple
and natural, and if we don't search carefully, it can be hard to find.
Whatever we want to do, it ultimately revolves around making ourselves a bit
more "beautiful." Those who resort to theft and deceit are also seeking to
reach "beauty" faster, but they cannot be described as pure. They have
tainted the innocent faces with a layer of dust, yet they are unaware that
beauty is not just about a glamorous exterior but about having a beautiful
soul.
Let me share what I witnessed: The bus was crowded, and an old lady leaning
on a cane was struggling for breath, but no one offered their seat. A young
girl stood up and wanted to give the elderly lady her seat. She hesitated
for a moment, then stuck a note on the seat. When she got off, many people
rushed to occupy that seat, leaving the elderly lady shaking her head
helplessly. However, after a while, they all gave up the seat to the old
lady, who sat down in surprise.
Upon seeing this, I thought, "Those who don't respect the elderly are
shameless."
I don't know if she was right or wrong, but I believe she was right.
Although I didn't see her face, I knew she must be beautiful. So, pay
attention and observe closely. Beauty truly exists in many forms. |
