Borderland
Ballad
As dusk descends, the raindrops fall,
The geese fly low, and hear their
call.
The shoots of reeds begin to
grow,
In harmony, their heads will
show.
The bells ring out across the plain,
Their echoes heard, and not in
vain.
A convoy comes, with silk so
white,
To bring it safe, through day and
night.
The city gates, on the white sand,
Are open wide, by a soldier's
hand.
The border's edge, with
vigilance,
To keep the peace, and show
defense.
The Phoenix woods, where rivers flow,
With autumn's leaves, yellow and
gold.
The border guards, with steadfast
will,
Their loyalty, with heart and
skill.
No one can claim, with honest cause,
To have the skill, to end these
wars.
The loyalty, and steadfast trust,
Protect the land, from dust to
dust. |
