The Vanished
Glory
Amidst the ruins of the ancient town,
The remnants of a king's power
abound.
The soldiers who once guarded the
wall,
Now gone, the tower stands tall.
A thousand tombs of officials past,
And palaces that once stood vast.
Towering pines and majestic firs,
Stand witness to the rulers'
reigns and their cures.
Amidst the clouds, the stone swallows fly,
As the river dolphin swims by.
The winds howl, the waves crash
on the shore,
As the heroes of old are seen no
more.
The glory and splendor now long gone,
Only the green mountains carry
on.
The echoes of the past in their
heart,
As the memories of the departed
art. |
