The Warrior's
Daughter
A girl rode on a horse so white,
Its mane adorned with gold so
bright,
They galloped towards the
northern side,
A wandering, fearless soul with
pride.
"Who is this girl?" some would inquire,
A warrior's daughter, fierce and
dire,
From a small town she left with
speed,
To prove her worth, to show her
breed.
Her bow she held with steady hand,
Her arrows flew across the sand,
Left, right, they pierced the
moon up high,
Aiming true, never
awry.
She caught a monkey in mid-air,
And landed with a graceful flair,
Faster than any ape or beast,
She was a warrior, the fiercest.
At the border, there was no rest,
The enemy was always a pest,
She received a call to fight,
To defend her land with all her
might.
She charged forth, no fear in sight,
Left, right, she put up a fight,
Her life she risked for her land,
To keep it safe, to make a stand.
Her parents, she left behind,
Her husband, she could not find,
Her duty was to serve her state,
Her name would be on the rolls of
the great.
She gave her life for her country's sake,
Death was not a choice she could
make,
She died a hero, her name in
history,
Forever remembered for her
bravery. |
