Contemplating
the Sea at the Cliff
Atop the cliff I stand and see
The vast sea stretch out before
me
Its waters calm and tranquil lay
While islands and mountains stand
in array
The trees grow thick, the grasses tall
Abundant life surrounds us all
But in the autumn wind I hear
The roar of waves,
tumultuous and
clear
Sun and moon traverse the sky
As if they emerge and then pass
by
Stars above twinkle and shine
As if they too, in the sea, align
How fortunate I am, to be here
To sing and contemplate without
fear
For in this moment, I realize
My dreams and ambitions, I will
realize |
