Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs once ruled the earth.
Long ago this was their home.
When the world was very new,
That's when they did
roam.
Tyrannosaurus was the king,
Of very dinosaur.
To eat and sleep was all his life,
Then sleep and eat some more.
Diplodocus was the longest one;
He was sort of slender too.
All he did was stand in swamps,
And chew and chew and chew.
Brontosaurus, an eater of plants,
And a very gentle one,
Would stand in swamps and eat the
plants,
Until the day was done.
Stegosaurus had bony plates,
Up and down his back.
And on his tail were four long
spikes,
For protection when attacked.
Triceratops had three long horns,
And a shield behind his head.
He wouldn't run from eaters of meat,
But would charge head-on instead.
Pterosaurs roamed the skies,
Over land and sea.
Their wings were very, very big,
Compared to little me.
Dinosaurs once ruled the earth,
Long, long ago.
They ruled the earth
in majesty,
Until they had to go. |
