Russia anticipates enduring Western sanctions for an extended period, with
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressing the belief that U.S. influence on the
global economy is diminishing. Peskov's comments follow remarks by U.S.
Assistant Secretary of State Geoffrey Pyatt, who mentioned Washington's aim to
cut Russia's oil and gas revenues by half by the decade's end.
Despite Russia's resilience to Western
sanctions, Peskov acknowledges the ongoing pressure from the United States and
foresees a shift in economic relations, emphasizing diversification with markets
in China, India, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Latin America as
alternatives to Western trade. |
