With over 55 years' experience and 90 villages in 26 countries, 13 of which are located in the Western Hemisphere, Club Med is the world's largest vacation village organization that sells package vacations to its members to escape the stress of city life.

This unique holiday resort is the benchmark for all-inclusive upmarket holidays with wonderful activities. Together with nature, it has created a spectacular place for visitors to relax, rejuvenate and experience dream holidays.

In addition, Club Med takes a special interest in children and is one of the few resorts which actually encourages couples to include children in vacation plans. At the five Western Hemisphere clubs, Club Med has established mini-clubs for children four to seven and Kid's Clubs, for the eight to 12 age group. Children get the same vacation experiences as their parents, under careful supervision, while parents are free to indulge in their own pursuits.

Club Med in Malaysia is ideally placed in a secluded bay in Cherating, approximately 50 kilometers from Kuantan, Pahang. Set in 80 hectares of lush wooded grounds with an exceptional array of native flora and fauna, Club Med Cherating is truly a great place for a vacation. In fact, it is the perfect antidote to the hectic city life. There, wide gently sloping sandy beaches, lined with casuarinas trees, extend as far as the eye can see.

This beautiful resort boasts of world-class facilities and unparalleled services to attract a steady stream of visitors; both regular revelers and first-time villagers. Exciting and fun-filled programs are offered to entertain visitors from dawn to dusk and help reunite them with the essential joys of living. Their philosophy is laugh, relax and have fun on an all-inclusive holiday.

The resort consists of a few villages. Each village has something special for the individual, couples or families. With its own private stretch of beach, it is kept pristine clean by the resort, very nice compared to the filth we normally find on typical Malaysian beaches. Upon our arrival at any of the exclusive locations, the friendly GOs (Gentle Organisers) are on hand to ensure visitors' comfort. They are mostly young people from around the world and they carry out most of the outlets like the retail shop, reception, bar and the various recreational activities.

Every night, a show is put on by the GOs. Visitors join in the night's entertainment. Showtime also has a slot for children's stage performance that is part of a nightly rotation with traditional performances, themed dance performances and even a circus act before the late-night boogie-down sessions followed by live music or karaoke. As for meals, it is buffet all day long at Mutiara, the poolside main restaurant. It offers a new buffet concept with a wide selection of international and ethnic food and recently opened its fine-dining restaurant which allows guests to enjoy their meals in a romantic and exclusive environment.
