Combine the following sentences into Simple sentences. You may combined them in any way you like. Note : A Simple sentence has only one Finite Verb.

1.   She read a book. She read a newspaper. She went to bed.
2.   He has a shave. He has his breakfast. Then he goes out to work.

5.   He declined to open his door to these visitors. He gave no reason for his refusal.
6.   The accused had the right to challenge the jury. He insisted on this right.

8.   The people crowded the streets to see him. His progress was very much impeded.
9.   He was an eloquent speaker. He was also a successful man of business.
10.   Being very sad we traveled along in silence. we never exchanged even a single word. We never got up from our seats till the journey's end.
