Boredom ! That was it ! That was
the cause ___1___ my horrid behaviour these past two weeks. That
was why I had been snapping ___2___ the staff all the time. I

with the company. The realisation that I was bored made me

Outside his room, I stopped at the watercooler for a sip of
water. My throat was parched. Beads of perspiration had begun to
form on my forehead. It wasn't going to be easy, I knew, but I
had to tell him. My life was such a drudgery. I didn't want to

Jus then, Mr Brown opened his door and asked me to step

My jaw dropped. My fingers trembled. Quietly, I crumpled my
letter.
"What's that ?" asked Mr Brown, pointing to the crushed paper
in my hand.
"Oh, just one of my mistakes," I said. He must have know, for
I heard him sigh ___10___ relief. |
