The Perils of the Shu Road
The Shu Road is steep and high,
Above the blue sky, it doth defy.
Its difficulties, so great and dire,
Bring a fading complexion to admire.
The peaks stretch to the heavens far,
Measureless and seemingly bizarre.
Withered pines cling to cliffs with might,
Leaning, hanging in an endless sight.
Rapids race and waterfalls resound,
With thunder echoing all around.
Rocks turn and cliffs stand tall,
Dangers lurking, one and all.
So treacherous is this road indeed,
Why do travelers take such a perilous
deed?
To brave these perils, why make the trip?
The Shu Road's dangers, a constant grip. |
