Echoes of Spring
From miles away, the warbler sings,
Green blends with red, a joyous thing.Villages beside the water's sheen,
Hills and fortresses, a peaceful scene.
In the South, four hundred eighty abbeys,
So many towers, shrouded in haze,
Amid the rain and mist they stand,
A symbol of a cultured land. |
