"The Fabelmans" is a semi-autobiographical film about the childhood of one of
the most famous movie directors of all time, Steven Spielberg. Sammy Fabelman,
the protagonist, is the oldest of four
children, and the only boy, born to Mitzi and Burt Fabelman.
Sammy wants to become a filmmaker after his parents take him to see his first
motion picture. The movie highlights how Sammy's mother, Leah Adler, encouraged
his creativity, which eventually helped Steven become the man he is today.
The film's casting, visuals, and score are excellent, and it continues the
level of quality audiences have come to expect from Steven Spielberg. |
