The Underrated Love of Fathers |
|
Whenever I hear the song "Only Mom is Good in the World", I can't help but think
that while a mother's love is truly great, isn't a father's love just as great?
Why doesn't anyone discover and try to accept it?
I don't know when it started, but my father has been in charge of breakfast
every morning. At first, I didn't think it was a big deal, it was just
breakfast. But one day, I accidentally found out the truth: every morning, my
father would wake up early, go downstairs and buy us breakfast. Our home is on a
high floor, so going up and down the stairs requires a lot of effort. Does my
father have to go up and down the stairs like this every day? When I heard this
news, I was shocked by the greatness of a father's love.
One morning, I woke up early at around six o'clock. When I got up, I found that
my father had already left. In a little while, my father came back with hot
breakfast in his hand, and my eyes were moist.
That day, I was bored and read a book. There was a sentence in the book that I
still remember vividly: "Don't wait until you lose it to realize what you have."
That day, I thought it was very profound, and I wrote it down in "Honey
Collection" without thinking.
Now, I understand the meaning of that sentence a little bit. We should cherish
everything we have now and not regret it when it's too late. This includes a
father's love! A father's love is not as obvious as a mother's love. He silently
cares for you, silently takes on everything, but never lets you know.
If we compare the love of a father and a mother on a balance, to me, they are
equally important. They just love you in different ways. Father's love is just a
look, a word, a gesture. These are enough to express the greatness of a father's
love!
If a mother's love is like the ocean that keeps you from flying out of the vast
sea of mother's love, always wanting to protect you;
Then a father's love is like a mountain that makes you break through all
obstacles and fly towards your own future with strength! |
