My Grandfather's Hobbies |

My grandfather has dedicated so much to our family, and I know that without him,
our family would not be in the same condition it is in now. My brother and I try
our best to satisfy his interests and hobbies.
My grandfather loves listening to the Shaanbei Opera, also known as Yu Opera. He
never misses a weekly broadcast of the opera on Shanxi TV. He also enjoys
Shaanbei Daoqing, a type of local singing, and Shaanbei Suona, a type of
traditional wind instrument. These are all things that the elderly people in our
area enjoy.
To cater to his interests, my mother even bought a device similar to a radio
that can play these things from a memory card. Only my brother and I know how to
operate a computer in our family, as our parents are simple farmers who don't
even know how to use a smartphone, let alone surf the internet. My mother has
never touched the computer since she bought it, and my father only uses it to
play simple games or occasionally play Chinese chess or Landlord online.
Therefore, they have no idea how to download files or anything like that. My
brother works outside and is not always at home, so I am the only one who can do
these things, especially during my holidays.
Last time, I downloaded some things that made my grandfather happy for a long
time. He still talks about it frequently. It has been almost a month since then,
and today I came from the countryside to the city with a memory card. I started
downloading new things for him at night.
I feel that if I have the opportunity to download things for my grandfather's
hobbies, it is worth sacrificing some of my computer time. His smile and
happiness are precious to me! |
