My Love for Dragon Fruit |
|
Do you know why I love to eat dragon fruit so much? It's not just because the
flesh is juicy and delicious, or because the skin is particularly eye-catching
among fruits, but because of its unique origin.
Dragon fruit grows on trees, which are aptly named dragon fruit trees. These
trees are quite special because the fruit, dragon fruit, grows on the leaves.
Harvesting dragon fruit is also quite tricky, requiring some effort to pluck one
off the tree.
When eating dragon fruit, you must first cut it in half and scoop out the flesh
with a spoon. The taste is amazing, although the flesh near the skin can be
quite sour like grapes, it doesn't affect the overall enjoyment.
Dragon fruit not only tastes delicious but also has a unique name. It looks like
a cluster of irregular fire, hence the name "dragon fruit." Dragon fruit
originated in Central America, where it is also known as the "auspicious fruit."
Dragon fruit not only has a beautiful appearance that can rival a flower, but it
also comes in many varieties. There are three types of dragon fruit: red-skinned
white flesh, white-skinned red flesh, and red-skinned red flesh. However, I have
only seen and tasted the red-skinned white flesh variety. This dragon fruit has
many small black seeds that are difficult to distinguish from sesame seeds. If
you soak them in water for five minutes, a layer of fuzz will appear around the
seeds, and they will have a satisfying crunch when you eat them.
I love dragon fruit not only for its color but also for its taste. It's truly a
fruit that offers two benefits at once! |
