A Story of Love and Perseverance |
|
My father is a disabled man, and sometimes when my classmates see him, they
whisper and call him the "camel man." Yes, my father is a camel man, but that
doesn't stop him from loving me, and I still have a happy life just like
everyone else, even happier.
I remember that day was a Wednesday, and the weather suddenly became much
colder. I was sitting in the classroom, listening to the howling north wind.
When the class was over, I heard a familiar voice saying, "Zhongyue, Zhongyue..."
I turned my head and saw that it was my father.
We went to the dormitory together, and my father struggled to bring down the
bedding, which was taller than him, from the motorcycle. I wanted to help, but
he refused. I slept on the top bunk, which he couldn't reach, so he had to throw
the blanket up onto the bed with all his might. Then he clung to the bed railing
with both hands, put one foot on the bed, and curled up the other foot to climb
up. His thin body leaned slightly to the left, showing his effort. He slowly
spread the blanket on the bed, and knelt on the bed to smooth out the uneven
parts of the blanket. My eyes were blurry with tears, but I didn't want him to
see, so I quickly turned my head to look out the window. When I looked back, my
bed had completely changed: it was covered with a thick quilt, with clean sheets
and fluffy blankets, looking warm and cozy.
My father was about to leave. He struggled to adjust the collar of his son, who
was already half a head taller than him, and said softly, "Study hard and listen
to your teacher!" I nodded vigorously. My father rode away on his motorcycle,
and as his thin figure disappeared into the crowd, which made him seem even
weaker in the cold wind, I couldn't hold back my tears anymore.
My father is a disabled man, but the love he gives me is the heaviest and most
complete in the world. Being surrounded by his fatherly love, I am the happiest
person in the world. This is a story of love and perseverance. |
