The Rising of the Five-Star Red Flag |
|
Today is Monday, and the school's flag-raising ceremony has begun. As the
national anthem resounds, all students stand at attention, gazing with
reverence at the flag. When I see the bright Five-Star Red Flag ascend with
the powerful national anthem, I feel extremely moved.
Before my eyes, I see the touching scene of the great Chairman Mao Zedong
hoisting the first Five-Star Red Flag on the Tiananmen Gate Tower on October
1st, 1949. In my ears, I hear the resounding voice "The Chinese people have
stood up!" Ah, the Five-Star Red Flag, you are the symbol of New China, the
pride of the Chinese nation!
Looking at the bright Five-Star Red Flag, I seem to see the starlight of
Jinggangshan, the brilliant rays of sunshine on the walls of Zunyi, the
endless beacons along the Long March, and the sparkling lights in the cave
dwellings of Yan'an... Yes, how many hardships did our motherland overcome
to gain today's liberation? How can we not cherish the happy times today?
Looking at the bright Five-Star Red Flag, I seem to see the revolutionary
predecessors advancing one after another, fighting bravely, sacrificing
their lives and shedding their blood to save the suffering motherland,
fighting on the battlefield amidst the raging flames of war. Yes, it is
precisely because of these heroic ancestors of the Chinese Revolution that
the motherland has embarked on the road of prosperity and strength. Today,
how can we not live up to the ardent expectations of our predecessors?
Looking at the bright Five-Star Red Flag, I secretly determined: for the
future of the motherland, and to not disappoint the expectations of the
Party and the people, I will work hard to study and let the Five-Star Red
Flag fly on the blue sky of our motherland for generations to come.
As the national flag slowly rises to embrace the blue sky, at the moment it
reaches the top of the pole, the East sends out ten thousand rays of golden
light, and a red glow breaks through the morning mist and leaps out of the
horizon.
Amidst the loud national anthem, the flag-raising ceremony has ended. The
song that echoed through the campus still lingers in my ears. |
