The Blue Sky of Dreams

When Little Meng was younger, she loved the blue sky. The boundless sky with its beautiful white clouds slowly drifting was very pretty and could relax her. So every day, Little Meng's favorite thing to do was to lie by the window and watch the blue sky, the clouds, and the birds in the sky.

But one day, the world suddenly changed. Many gray monsters occupied the world, swallowing people into their bellies and exhaling black smoke into the sky. Gradually, the sky was no longer blue but a depressing gray that made it hard to breathe.

Little Meng no longer dared to lie by the window and watch the sky because she could no longer see that bright blue sky. She felt very sad and cried for a long time, and her tears turned into rivers that washed the world clean. After crying for a long time, the world was restored to its blue color, but Little Meng could no longer see it. She cried until she went blind.

Although the blue sky had returned, Little Meng could only hear her family describe the beautiful sky, imagining the scene in her mind and laughing happily. She dreamed of seeing the blue sky again and ran and ran in the grassy fields outside.

The next day, Little Meng's mother woke her up, but she was gone, having left for a faraway place where she could see the blue sky once again. Perhaps she still loved to run to the windowsill and watch the sky, the clouds, and the birds. With her most sincere wishes, Little Meng hoped to be with everyone, guarding the blue sky forever.
