In China, every province has various wildlife conservation organizations, and
internationally, there are also wildlife international conservation
organizations with professionals managing this work. Despite this, there are
still intentional destruction and even killing of some rare animals in many
places. My father told me that there used to be a horse called the Quagga, which
became extinct in 1883 because humans coveted its meat and fur. My grandfather
told me that because humans want to become smarter, they captured a live monkey,
opened its skull, poured oil into it, and the monkey screamed in pain while
people enjoyed the delicious taste of its brain.
Walking down the street, I saw a man holding a phone and loudly saying, "Hey
buddy, let's eat shark fin tonight. It's delicious, isn't it?" Hearing his
words, I felt heartbroken. Unknowingly, humans have become executioners who
destroy their own homes. To maintain ecological balance, we must love and
protect animals and not destroy the food chain. The extinction of one species of
animal or plant can lead to the rapid reproduction or extinction of many other
species, and even cause various natural disasters.
However, the Tibetans in Nagqu are acting in the opposite way to those around
us. They are using their practical actions to love and respect animals. But it's
not enough to rely on one or a few people's efforts; this requires the joint
efforts of all humanity to protect our animals, preserve our ecological balance,
and protect our Mother Earth.
As a student, no matter what, we should all join the ranks of animal protection
and use our meager strength to become peaceful ambassadors who respect animals
and nature. |
