The Young Nature Lovers Take Action Against Animal Abuse

Under the big tree outside the school compound, a group of friends would gather on Fridays to discuss school happenings and plan outings. They had a passion for bird-catching and bird-watching and soon became known as the "Young Nature Lovers". Their weekly meetings helped to bring together their various activities.

One Friday, Sheikh was disturbed by the way his new neighbor treated his dogs. He had seen the underfed Alsatians being chained up all day and beaten by their owner. Sheikh had been upset for many days and the group decided to take action against the cruel neighbor.

Hussain was assigned to plan a course of action, and the next day he presented his idea to the group. He suggested that the man should be subjected to the same treatment he inflicted on his dogs by cornering him and then letting the dogs loose on him. However, the group was hesitant to go through with this plan.

Hussain then came up with a new plan. He would pretend to be injured outside the man's house, and when the man took him inside to help him, the group would rush in and confront him. They found out the man's daily routine and decided to meet him on his return from his evening walk.

As the man returned, Hussain lay on the roadside groaning and calling for help. The man, reluctantly but feeling compelled to act the good Samaritan, helped him limp along to his house. As soon as they entered, the group rushed in and closed the door. Two of them climbed a tree to peep through a ventilator, while one unchained the dogs to let them in. Hussain then climbed the steps with a whip in his hand, and the dogs barked ferociously at the man. Only when Hussain had extracted a promise from him that he would treat his dogs better in the future did they help him tie the dogs and let him go.

The man gradually became more tolerant in his behavior towards his dogs. He gave them better food and stopped beating them, and they were allowed to be free for long hours. Now, often in the evenings, the group sees him when he goes for a walk.

The Young Nature Lovers had taken action against animal abuse, and their plan had succeeded in teaching the man a lesson.
