Time always seems to slip away quietly under my eyelids. I
always feel like it passes too quickly, and I want to use my ink-covered
hands to gently hold onto it, but it slips away through the cracks. A
semester that caused me pain has finally come to an end, but its presence
still lingers around me.
The grades from last semester have already been released, and I was so
disappointed that I cried. My results were completely unexpected. The
capacity for one person to endure is limited, and when the amount of sadness
exceeds that limit, people lose their confidence. Everyone, including my
family, my teachers, and my friends, tried their best to encourage me.
I struggled through their persuasion, walking alone in the misty rain while
passersby hurriedly walked past me, seemingly deaf to the world. Perhaps
they felt that the rain had soaked through their clothes, but I wanted it to
envelop my heart. The sounds of the pedestrians seemed to be mocking me, and
my world was shrouded in darkness.
The next day, the sunlight at noon was brilliant, shining in through the
windows and illuminating the room. The sparkling light filled every corner
of the space. I was a bit stunned, and habitually surprised by my
surroundings. I gazed at the sun's bright body, trying to distinguish its
interwoven and colorful hues and chasing after its untraceable flow. It was
the first time I realized how beautiful the sunlight was. I embraced the
sunshine, breathed in the scent of nature, and suddenly felt at ease, so
relaxed and happy. I laughed happily towards the sun.
From that moment on, I was no longer disappointed or sad. It was the
sunshine that told me that after sorrow comes happiness, happiness is the
soul of motivation, and the soul is the lifeline of success, which leads to
my future.
In the new semester, I will start again and use my motivation to push
towards the peak of my life. Without rain, where does the sunshine come
from? Without sorrow, where does happiness come from? Without failure, where
does success come from? I am the one who faces adversity, sadness belongs to
that side, and happiness belongs to that side. The sadness of one person is
the joy of another!
Ships that sail through the vast ocean must go through wind and rain and
endure the waves, but their destination lies beyond the storm. This is the
power of sunshine. |
