The Rhythm of Spring |
|
During the cold winter, everything in the world is in hibernation. Without
the vitality of summer or the abundance of autumn, only the cold wind of
winter makes creatures stronger and braver.
The fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold. The colder the
weather, the more fragrant the plum blossoms become. Having endured wind and
rain, the plum blossom has an extraordinary inner strength. Likewise,
bamboo, another friend of winter, also endures wind and rain. It grows tall
and straight, seemingly holding up the blue sky above our heads, always
standing firmly on its own land.
After several days of overcast weather, with a few sunny intervals, the sky
becomes dry and murky, awaiting the arrival of spring rain to bring moisture
and shine to the earth.
Amidst the protesting buzz of bees, the swaying of branches, and the prayers
of flowers, the rain falls. And amidst the joyous cries of birds, a
unprecedented spring rain arrives, with such force that even lions in the
forest tremble and the flow of water overflows from ponds like hot springs.
As the rain intensifies, a small earthquake-like tremor is felt beneath the
bamboo grove. "Crack!" A bamboo shoot emerges from the solid ground. It is
brave and energetic, the product of spring. "Crack! Crack, crack!" More and
more bamboo shoots emerge, as if the entire bamboo grove is about to be
filled.
A stone keeps moving, and underneath it is a brave bamboo shoot, pushing
with all its might, as if holding up the sky and the entire world. Though
tired, it persists without any retreat, and the stone almost topples. The
small bamboo shoot is close to success, and as the spring wind grows
stronger, it struggles to lift the heavy stone. Finally, with a burst of
energy, the shoot overcomes the stone, magically encountering spring. It
gains the nourishment of spring rain and the challenge of the stone, and it
finds its own place in the wonderful world of spring.
In spring, everything will get better, and everything is at its best. Follow
the rhythm of spring and strive like a bamboo shoot! |
