Half of my high school life has passed, and looking back at
these past few months, I have experienced so much.
First of all, we had a one-week military training at the beginning of the
school year, which made all of us in my class as dark as charcoal. It was
really frustrating, but the training did improve our physical fitness. In
just a few days, I lost 3 pounds. Most importantly, I made a lot of friends
during the training, not only from my own class but also from other classes.
Hey, it's amazing how much we've changed in the early days of high school.
Once we started classes, every subject had piles of homework, even music had
assignments. Last time, our music teacher assigned us to copy the national
anthem and write our thoughts about it. The whole class was in an uproar.
One classmate even said, "The world has changed. We even have to write our
thoughts about music now. Ugh, Chinese language is too important!" I just
wondered if one day we would have written assignments for PE classes too.
The world really has changed. By the way, our homework is especially heavy
today because it's Friday. I may need to stay up late tonight.
One thing that really annoyed me in high school is the point deduction
system. If you don't turn in your homework, points are deducted! If you
don't sweep the floor, points are deducted! If you sleep in class, points
are deducted! If the teacher calls your name, points are deducted! It's even
worse that you will lose points for being late to class, even just a minute.
So, I have to time my bathroom breaks during class and rush back to class
right after. I can't even take a deep breath because those class monitors
are surprisingly responsible, and I don't dare to relax.
After talking about the hardships of high school, I should also mention the
joy. I have made many good friends in high school, and every day we laugh
and play together. They are all understanding and supportive. We haven't
even had a single fight since entering high school, and we get along very
well.
Furthermore, I often receive praise from teachers, which makes me feel
really good. I have gained more skills and knowledge since starting high
school. All of these things make me happy.
High school life has its ups and downs, and I will face both the good and
bad aspects of it. I believe that in three years, I will have a successful
high school experience. I hope you feel the same way, and let's support each
other! |
