Hugo once said, "The largest thing in the world is the
ocean, followed by the sky, and then the human soul which is greater than
the sky." This soul is a great one, which holds a bright traffic light that
illuminates the whole world.
In Belgium, pedestrians and vehicles move in their respective lanes, without
any interference. There are few traffic lights in the city, but everyone
knows the traffic rules: pedestrians come first, followed by horse-drawn
carriages, bicycles, and finally, cars. Everyone shows respect and allows
others to pass, maintaining order. A Belgian woman once said, "I already
have the luxury of a comfortable car, why should I fight with pedestrians?"
Yes, only humans are the traffic lights of all things, and only when each
person has a green light in their heart can traffic and society remain
stable.
In many aspects of life, we must consciously follow the rules and have a
green light in our hearts. We should go when we need to go, stop when we
need to stop, and step back when we need to retreat. Only then can we have
more understanding and less dispute, more humility and less blame.
When people line up to buy food in the cafeteria, if everyone can follow
their order or be more generous and give priority to those who have urgent
needs, everyone can get in line in order. They can form a strong and long
line, without anyone feeling unfair or rushing to get ahead. Each person
measures when to move forward and when to step back, guided by an invisible
traffic light. Without this light, chaos will ensue, and the cafeteria staff
will be overwhelmed with the noise and commotion.
A country, a nation, and a society need an orderly and well-organized
system. Such a system requires the efforts of every person, and each
person's efforts require a green light in their heart. Therefore, as long as
everyone has a green light in their heart, even the most difficult things
can be resolved with ease. With a green light in our hearts, we have the
freedom to choose to retreat and the courage to advance. Friends, let us
remember when to stop and when to go, as our hearts guide us with their
green light. |
