There is something about the night that lingers in our
thoughts and emotions. It's a time when we may feel melancholic or
reflective, with no clear reason or end in sight. It seems that for our
generation, the night has become synonymous with feelings of sadness and
nostalgia. Even though we may tell ourselves that the moonlight, though dim,
was once sunlight that helped us grow, the melancholy within us still rises
like the mist under the moon.
I don't consider myself a lonely person, despite what Lu Xun said about
those who love the night. I have many friends, but when I face the night, I
feel a sense of solitude that can only be described by the reflection of the
moon on a single cup.
Dreams have a beauty that is hard to describe, almost like a pinkish-purple
hue that surrounds them. As a girl, I have my own dreams, whether they be
nightmares or daydreams, they often fill my small heart.
Some people say that astrology is not to be believed, but I find it
fascinating how Pisces women like me often struggle to distinguish between
dreams and reality. Indeed, I often find myself lost in my dreams because I
love them so much.
Memory is a curious thing. Some say it never ages, but I have come to
realize that it can die, like a summer flower that blooms for a season and
then suddenly fades away. I used to think that some memories could last a
lifetime, but when I read my diary from two years ago, I was struck by how
many once unforgettable experiences had become distant and unfamiliar. Do
memories go dormant, like a diary waiting to be rediscovered? Or should we
simply let them go, as Anne Babbe suggested? Perhaps we should let some
memories slip away, while we keep others close to our hearts.
Life is full of ups and downs, and memories can be bittersweet. It's natural
to feel conflicted about holding onto or letting go of them. Memories can
teach us and bring us comfort, but they can also hinder us from experiencing
new things. It's important to strike a balance between cherishing the
moments that have shaped us and moving forward to new experiences that await
us. |
