In my pursuit of success, I experienced disappointment and
humiliation. However, amidst it all, my teacher offered me selfless love and
genuine encouragement, shining like a bright star in the dark night of my
life.
As the new school year began, I imagined my teacher with beautiful long
hair, big bright eyes, and well-proportioned features. And when she finally
walked in, her steps were light and lively. Standing at the podium, she
greeted her students with a warm smile.
She was different, with a simple student hairstyle and a plain and generous
appearance that exuded a confident scholar's image. Her pleasant face and
sweet smile made her approachable and friendly.
"Everyone needs something to look up to," she once asked me a similar
question.
I used to keep my head down, only looking at the "little stones" beneath my
feet, ignoring those around me, and never imagining or hoping for the
future. But my teacher's sharp eyes could always detect my problems, and she
began to care for me, help me, and guide me. She told me that studying
required a spirit, a spirit of discovering noble ideals that would make life
free and passionate, like flowers blooming and springs gushing. Maybe we
cannot reach lofty ideals, but we must maintain a spirit of seeking
knowledge, open our eyes, look forward to tomorrow, support a meaningful and
valuable life, and pursue our spiritual home in the long night.
Gradually, I began to understand her meaning. One night, I looked up at the
moon slowly revealing itself from behind the book and suddenly felt an
unparalleled fullness and roundness, a magnificent and vastness that was
difficult to describe. I realized that we must always look up to the world,
look forward to tomorrow.
My teacher, my homeroom teacher, guided me forward, taught me to look up at
my blue sky, and envision a brilliant future.
Even if I were to travel to the ends of the earth, I would never forget my
teacher's enduring kindness, nor would I forget her deep teaching: everyone
needs something to look up to. It is their own blue sky. |
