Dreams are beautiful, and a life with dreams is colorful and
vibrant. "If I had a thatched cottage in a field of summer, it would shelter
me, like a palace, from the chilly air and from the hot" was Du Fu's dream.
"When our army crosses the north and the central plains are pacified, I will
not forget to offer sacrifices to my ancestors," was Lu You's dream.
"Pushing off with a pole, I journey on a raft through a landscape of endless
green: one vessel carrying starlight, we sail along the multicolored Milky
Way, singing songs," was Xu Zhimo's dream. One black man, in a gathering of
over two hundred thousand people, gave a speech titled "I Have a Dream,"
which became one of the most poignant and moving voices of the twentieth
century. This dream has traversed the tunnel of time for half a century, and
people can still feel the great compassion and sorrow within it.
Dreams are like lighthouse beacons in the vast sea at night, guiding lost
fishing boats to their home harbors.
Everyone has dreams, and some people strive for their dreams their entire
lives but achieve no results. However, some people return with a full load
of achievements; this is only a matter of opportunity. The real problem lies
in whether you have worked hard for your dream. If you have struggled for
your dream, even if you have not achieved great results, you will not regret
it. But if you don't make an effort and live aimlessly every day, then your
dream will only remain a dream and never become a reality. When you wake up
one day, it will be too late to say that you should have worked harder;
everything will have been just empty talk.
The road to realizing dreams is rocky and bumpy. One small mistake can lead
to a great fall. Therefore, the guidance of our elders can help us avoid
some of these falls. The advice given to us by our elders should always be
remembered in our hearts.
I also have a dream. My dream is to attend a prestigious university, learn
my major well, and then return to my hometown to start a large entertainment
company with my childhood friends. Although this dream seems so far out of
reach, I believe that as long as we make an effort, there will be a day when
this seemingly ridiculous childhood dream will become a reality that we will
never regret. Therefore, I will work hard to achieve it and turn it from a
dream into a reality.
Dreams, like classics, never fade with the passage of time. Instead, they
become even more precious. |
