It was a hot afternoon. Alonso and his friends were
spending time

The heat was making them lethargic. They felt as if

heat! It's killing me!" cried out Fernando.
"Let's go to the public swimming pool ___5___
a dip!" suggested Alonso. The boys all agreed and
left the house.
When the boys got to the pool, it was packed. ___6___
seemed as if everyone else had the same idea.
Despite the crowd, the boys still went in. It was so
difficult to find ___7___
empty spot in the pool. There were people

Alonso and his friends were trying to relax in the
cool water, children would be splashing water all
around them. Finally, the boys got exasperated and
got out.

the boys left the pool, one of them had a brilliant
idea.
"Let's go catch a movie at the cinema ! It's
air-conditioned and the filmgoers aren't supposed to
speak loudly during the show!"
Everyone's eyes lit ___10___
at the fantastic idea. they took a bus to the
nearest cinema and managed to buy tickets for an
interesting movie. Not only did the boys manage to
find a cooling place to relax in, they were even
entertained at the same time. |
