It’s well documented that exercise contributes to a healthy lifestyle. Now researchers say keeping active helps reduce joint pain as you get older. The study found senior citizens who exercise regularly have a 25% reduction in joint and muscle pain compared to less active people in the same age bracket.

Research was conducted on more than 800 subjects over a 14-year period, the connection between obesity and death from heart attack or stroke has been a frequent topic of debate among medical practitioners. Now researchers report, in the absence of high blood pressure, obesity does not contribute to a greater risk for those conditions. The key factor appears to be the high blood pressure which is often associated with obesity.

And finally, eating healthy meals is often an effort. Americans tend to eat for pleasure out of boredom, and often time on the go. The federal government recommends five to nine servings of fruit and vegetables each day. A good way to measure a serving is by judging the amount that would fit in the palm of your hand.
